NCJW Spring Event 2011
Join us on for our annual NCJW-Minneapolis Spring Event, "ASSURING ACCESS: Meeting the Sexual Health Needs of Homeless Youth." It will be held Thursday, April 14 at Temple Israel. The program begins with Registration and an Appetizer Reception at 6 p.m. and the Program at 6:45 p.m., followed by a Dessert Reception at 8:30 p.m. Cost is $10.
All young people deserve access to quality sexual health information and services. Assuring access looks different, however, when trying to meet the needs of youth on the street. The event features keynote speaker, William (Bill) Smith, Executive Director, National Coalition of STD Directors, Washington, DC. Smith will address what is going on in Washington to ensure all young people have access to the information and care they need, including policies and practices that either support or hinder access and highlight implications unique to homeless youth. His presentation will be followed by a lively discussion with a panel of Minnesota experts.

This event is funded in part by a grant from the Ford Foundation and is sponsored by NCJW, in collaboration with a newly formed coalition of concerned providers and advocates.
