The National Council of Jewish Women (NCJW) is a grassroots organization of volunteers and advocates who turn progressive ideals into action. Inspired by Jewish values, NCJW strives for social justice by improving the quality of life for women, children, and families and by safeguarding individual rights and freedoms.
The Greater Minneapolis Section helps meet the needs of women, children and families through community service projects, advocacy education programs and member events.

Back by popular demand! Attendees at our last Gold Party event were astounded by how easy (and lucrative!) it is to sell their old, unworn or damaged gold jewelry for cash on the spot. Plan now to attend our annual Spring Event, Monday May 3 at 6:45 p.m. Join us at the Science Museum in St. Paul to view the Dead Sea Scrolls. Learn about their remarkable discovery, while in the company of Jewish women from around the Twin Cities.
The event will include a guided tour of the Dead Sea Scrolls Exhibit. Prior to the exhibit, we will gather for a brief reception and program to recognize our dedicated volunteers. Cost is $36 for members ($40 for non-members), which includes the reception and entrance to the Exhibit.

NCJW is a co-sponsor of this Jewish Community Action event about Immigration Reform. The event includes a keynote address on January 30 and an interfaith service and community forum on January 31 at area churches.

NCJW is a co-sponsor of this thought-provoking and action-oriented forum about health care reform in Minnesota. The event will be held Tuesday Jan 26, 7 p.m., at the Sabes JCC.
The focus is on budget cuts to the state’s General Assistance Medical Care program and how the Jewish community is responding.

Learn about NCJW's new curriculum -- Judaism and Israel: Then and Now -- for 6th-9th graders. This information and training session will be held on Sunday January 31st, 2:30 - 5:00 p.m., at Bet Shalom Congregation.
We welcome new volunteers, past Hello Israel presenters and anyone who simply wants to learn about the program, whether or not you are interested in becoming a presenter.

$0.00Rose Rees 75th Anniversary Planning Meeting
Join us Tuesday, January 26th, at 7 p.m. at the NCJW office to kick-off planning for the 75th Anniversary of the Rose Rees Peace Awards. Past Rose Rees volunteers and new volunteers are welcome. A light supper will be provided.
We're excited to put our heads together and come up with creative ideas to commemorate this big anniversary. We need help with planning the program, as well as with graphics, fundraising, volunteer coordination, communication, menu, etc.

NCJW is a co-sponsor for the Israel Program Center of the Minneapolis Jewish Federation’s yearlong theme, “Women in Israel.” The series of educational events will celebrate the achievements of Israeli women, as well as the unique challenges faced by women in Israel.

Join us for our annual advocacy event to help Jewish women learn and advocate about important legislative issues.
In a year filled with unprecedented economic and political conversation, Jewish Women's Morning at the Capitol (JWMC) gives you the opportunity to stand up and be counted. The event will include education on important issues (such as education, health care and homelessness), as well as advocacy skills training and appointments with your state senators and representatives.
