The National Council of Jewish Women (NCJW) is a grassroots organization of volunteers and advocates who turn progressive ideals into action. Inspired by Jewish values, NCJW strives for social justice by improving the quality of life for women, children, and families and by safeguarding individual rights and freedoms.

The Greater Minneapolis Section helps meet the needs of women, children and families through community service projects, advocacy education programs and member events.

Join us for a live performance featuring Maren Hinderlie as the inspriting Fanny Brin, former NCJW President of NCJW (1932 -1938). Brin was born in Romania and emigrated to Minneapolis at a young age. After graduating from the University of Minnesota, she married and had three children. JCC Film Festival - 'Bridge Over the Wadi'

Sabes Jewish Community Center Jewish Film Festival event, co-sponsored by NCJW

Join us for the film, Bridge Over the Wadi, followed by dessert and discussion. The film examines life at a school in Israel called Bridge Over The Wadi, in which 50 Jewish children and 50 Arab children study under both Jewish and Arab teachers, learn both Hebrew and Arabic and participate in one another’s religious celebrations, with the goal of narrowing the boundaries that separate them.
