Washington Institute
Washington Institute, NCJW's premier national public policy conference, is held every three years in Washington DC. The event offers advocacy training, in-depth issue briefings and a chance to use that knowledge at meetings with members of Congress. It is also an opportunity for an up-close view of the operations and activities of various branches of the federal government, particularly as they relate to NCJW’s key issues.
Washington Institute was held March 21-23, 2010. A dozen women from Minnesota were on hand for this memorable event, where they :
- Learned ways to advocate for social changes in the community.
- Heard about key issues, including NCJW’s new campaign aimed at ending domestic violence.
- Met wtih members of Congress.
- Networked with NCJW leaders from across the country.
